El mundo televisivo, tanto actual como más antiguo, ha sido una de las especialidades de la discográfica La La Land Records, ya que hablamos de lo último, esto se ve perfectamente reflejado en el box set que ha editado de la mítica serie Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (Viaje al Fondo del Mar, 1964-1968), serie creada por el mítico Irwin Allen (el mismo de Land of the Giants, Time Tunnel o Lost in Space).
Esta serie de aventuras y ciencia ficción cuenta las aventuras del submarino nuclear Seaview contó con todo un abanico de compositores de reconocido prestigio y solvencia, como el gran Jerry Goldsmith, Alexander Courage, Robert Drasnin, Herman Stein o el bueno de Paul Sawtell (compositor de la partitura, junto con Bert Shefter, de la película que dio origen a la serie allá por 1961).
Este Box Set de 4 CDs, además de recoger la música expandida del capítulo compuesto por Jerry Goldsmith (y editado en su día por GNP Crescendo), nos ofrece la música de la serie de la mano de varios compositores que supieron dar ese tono de aventuras y ciencia ficción que demandaba la serie.
Limitada a 1.000 copias, y al precio de 59,95$, es historia pura de la televisión y una fantástica oportunidad para profundizar en un universo musical maravilloso lleno de épica y aventuras.
