Mira que no quemé aquellas pistas piratas de Barnaby Jones del Maestro Jerry Goldsmith que rulaban por ahí, esperando algún día verlas editadas, y cual es mi gozo que no solo las veo editadas, sino que además todo ello tiene lugar en un box set televisivo de dos CDs llamado The Quinn Martin Collection Vol.1 que incluyen la música de otras series de míticos compositores, nombres como Dave Grusin, Lalo Schifrin, David Shire o Bruce Broughton (casi nada).
El culpable discográfico de mi pasión por éste doble CD es la discográfica La-La Land Records, que en una tirada limitada de 2.000 copias y al precio de 24,98$, ha decidido editar en éste primer volumen las bandas sonoras de series de los 70 del legendario productor Quinn Martin, todas ellas relacionadas con detectives y policías, que abarcan títulos como Barnaby Jones, Most Wanted, Cannon, Dan August y muchas más, con compositores como los ya citados además de Nelson Riddle (como olvidarnos de su Batman sesentero), John Parker, Duane Tatro o Patrick Williams.
Un caramelo irresistible para servidor, con demasiados alicientes como para negarme.
