Quartet Records editará de manera expandida la banda sonora, compuesta por Georges Delerue, el drama bélico Platoon (1986) escrito y dirigido por Oliver Stone y protagonizado por Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, Kevin Dillon, Forest Whitaker y Johnny Depp.
Un joven soldado norteamericano es enviado a la frontera entre Vietnam y Camboya para incorporarse a un pelotón. Además de la crueldad de la guerra, tendrá que sufrir las difíciles relaciones con sus camaradas.
