Music Box Records expande Arsène Lupin de Debbie Wiseman
Y aprovechando el lanzamiento de Silva Screen de Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light (2024), os recordamos un lanzamiento de Music Box Records de este año, apunto de agotarse, de la genial Debbie Wiseman, su partitura para la pelícual de aventuras e intriga Arsène Lupin (2004), dirigida y escrita por Jean-Paul Salomé y protagonizada por Romain Duris, Kristin Scott Thomas, Pascal Greggory y Eva Green.
ESta película de intrigas y aventuras, con romance de por medio, nos cuenta la historia del mítico ladrón Arsène Lupin, que siguiendo los pasos de su padre, Théophraste Lupin, inicia una carrera de robos donde sus éxitos no van acompañados de la paciencia y autocontrol que debieran, y entre tanto conocerá a la bella Condesa de Cagliostro, quien acabará involucrándole en un gran lío conspiratorio.
Aprovechando el 20 aniversario, esta banda sonora luce mejor que nunca, expandiendo el universo musical de la compositora editado en su día, una joya de gran riqueza temática, por donde asoma de forma magistral la música de acción y aventuras con toques melódicos donde no falta el romántico, o source music para contextualizar la época de la película (Ragtime, waltz, polkas).
Limitada a 500 copias y al precio de 19,80€, quedan menos de 10 ejemplares en la propia web. Yo no me lo pensaría (de hecho, la adquirí al poco de salir). Lo dicho, una joyita.
