Pre-nominadas a los Oscar 2016
La Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias ha dado a conocer la lista de los 145 trabajos que competirán por tener el privilegio de estar nominado, en la categoría de Mejor Banda Sonora Original, a los Oscar en su gala número 89.
Cabe destacar la descalificación por parte de la organización del trabajo de Jóhann Jóhannsson para La Llegada, por el uso de material prestado, el de Lesley Barber para Manchester frente al mar porque se nutre con varias piezas de música clásica y que de la misma manera sucede en Silencio de Kim Allen Kluge y Kathryn Kluge.
