La-La Land Records edita The Time Tunnel: Volume 1 con John Williams
En ésta nueva moda (bendita) de reeditar trabajos de clásicos televisivos (como Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea o Land of the Giants) le llega ahora el turno a las músicas compuestas para una de las míticas series de Irwin Allen, recogidas en un primer volumen, The Time Tunnel: Volume 1, donde La-La Land Records vuelve a la carga con una horna de compositores donde destaca el Maestro John Williams (que aparece firmando como Johnny), seguido de nombres como Paul Sawtell, Robert Drasnin y Lyn Murray.
Interpretada por Robert Colbert, James Darren y Lee Meriwether, esta mítica serie de 30 episodios que vio La Luz entre los años 1966 y 1967 nos cuenta la historia de unos científicos (Tony Newman y Douglas Phillips) que se verán atrapados en una máquina del tiempo mientras estaban llevando a cabo un experimento.
Las músicas, en el universo de Allen, siempre fueron una pieza fundamental, y aquí no son menos, partiendo de la base de contar con Johnny Williams, a pocos años de saltar a la inmortal fama del mundo catastrofista y las colaboraciones con Spielberg y Lucas, y con nombres de solvencia probada, especialmente Paul Sawtell, a quien Allen conocía perfectamente de otros shows televisivos suyos, como Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea y posteriormente colaborarían en un capítulo de Land of the Giants.
Limitada a 1.000 copias y al precio de 39,98€, una obligada para los amantes de las series fantásticos de toques clásicos, y en general, para los que amamos la música de cine hecha con cariño y oficio.
