La IFMCA publica sus nominaciones del 2011

La International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) ha anunciado la lista de nominados del 2011, compositores y trabajos que destacan por su excelencia musical, y donde nos encontramos con John Williams liderando el ranking con 7 nominaciones, 3 por War Horse, 3 por su trabajo en The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn y uno a mejor compositor del año, destacando la presencia de la laudeada banda sonora The Artist (con 3 nominaciones), del film de animación mexicano The Greatest Miracle (2 nominaciones para el regreso del gran Mark McKenzie) y dos para el sensacional score de Howard Shore, la última película de Martin Scorsese, Hugo.

Destacar la presencia del compositor español Lucas Vidal, nominado a Breakout Composer of the year (compositor revelación), quien nos regaló una sobresaliente composición en Mientras Duermes (Sleep Tight), la nominación de Alberto Iglesias a mejor compositor del año (curiosamente sin ninguna de sus tres bandas sonoras optando a algún galardón) , la nominación de Arnau Bataller por su trabajo televisivo en Ermessenda, la de Roque Baños por la cuarta entrega de Torrente, y la presencia de dos pesos pesados como Alexandre Desplat y Michael Giacchino (autor de la magistral Super 8) como mejores compositores del año.

Los resultados de esta octava edición serán anuciados el 23 de Febrero del 2012
