Conan the Barbarian, Intrada, 3CDS

¡¡OMG!! Uno de los scores mas grandes de la música de cine, que sirvió para enganchar a toda una generación de aficionados y colocar a Basil Poledouris en el olimpo de los compositores, va a tener por fin su edición oficial completa, Conan The Barbarian (1982), y en 3 CDS.

Hasta ahora, de la grabación original de Conan The Barbarian (sin contar la magnifica re-grabación producida por James Fitzpatrick y dirigida por Nic Raine en 2010), solo existía dos versiones: una publicada por primera vez en LP por MCA en 1982, y luego en CD por el sello Milán en 1992 para Europa, y el otro con más música, lanzado en CD por Varèse Sarabande también en 1992.

Bajo la batuta de Poledouris esta edición recoge aproximadamente 110 minutos de música de la película, que creo que todos conocemos a la perfección, añadiendo una remasterización en su sonido e incluyendo temas que habían sido desestimados en su regrabación como: Freedom Council, Warpaint, Indulgence/Mettle e incluso el tema original que había compuesto Poledouris para la lucha con la serpiente, Pit Fights, que al final fue sustituido por el tema Las Cantigas de Santa Maria.

Además de eso recoge las versiones alternativas de cortes como Prologue, Anvil Of Crom, Battle Of The Mounds, Children Of Doom y como extra el Prologue / Anvil Of Crom narrado con su famoso When the oceans drank Atlantis… y además tendremos a Arnold Schwarzenegger en la portada del CD.

Una gran noticia para la que será sin dudarlo una de las ediciones del año que ansiosamente estábamos esperando todos. ¡El martes 27 de noviembre… a comprar!
