Alhambra edita Ercole Sfida Sansone de Angelo Francesco Lavagnino
La discográfica Alhambra Records ha editado la partitura del maestro italiano Angelo Francesco Lavagnino para la película de aventuras y peplum Ercole Sfida Sansone (Hércules contra Sansón, 1963), dirigida y escrita por Pietro Fancisci y protagonizado por Kirk Morris (habitual del género con los títulos de Maciste), Liana Orfei, Enzo Cerusico e Iloosh Khoshab.
En esta ocasión, nuestro héroes, Hércules, Sansón y Maciste (aka Ulises) han naufragado por culpa de un monstruo marino, llegando a una Isla, donde sufrirán todo tipo de avatares para finalmente unirse y luchar contra los filisteos.
La música de Lavagnino, inédita hasta el día de hoy, ve al fin la luz a través de esta edición, donde destaca un tema central robusto y épico que abre la película, y el tema de Delilah, un bello tema de aromas exóticos que podemos escuchar en el corte Delilah´s Dance o el excelente Seduction.
Lavagnino ya era experto en peplums (de hecho había hecho dos títulos del género para trabajos del mismo director, Pietro Fancisci), pero aquí probablemente componga su mejor trabajo en el género.
Gracias a las 3 hijas del Maestro italiano, se ha tenido acceso a todo el material aquí editado, al precio 15,95€ de y limitada a 400 copias. Una joya.
